In high school, I loved #BOTD #JamesDean in "East of Eden" so much that I had the poster (of him and Julie Harris) on my wall.
If "Rebel" is his modern piece, then "Eden" is his Shakespeare performance.

Había llevado su automóvil a un taller para poner el motor a punto. Los preparativos tenían como objetivo que “el pequeño bastardo”, un Porsche Spyder color aluminio, estuviese preparado para una carrera en Salinas cerca de San Francisco. Una vez listo, #JamesDean decidió hacer unos kilómetros junto a Rolf Wütherich, mecánico y amigo, quizás, con la intención de probarlo. Y en la intersección de las rutas 466 (ahora 46) y 41 cerca de Cholame, California, se encontró repentinamente con la muerte. Un Ford Custom Tudor lo envistió de frente, falleciendo prácticamente de inmediato. Era el 30 de septiembre de 1955 y nacía el mito al que se le atribuye falsamente la frase “Vive rápido, muere joven y deja un bonito cadáver”, tal vez, por cómo había llevado los 24 años con que tan solo contaba.
