@loweel I use #Jami too and have several reviews published about it, my friend. I can say that the video call between desktop and phone is already good.

@qoheniac at the first time I wanted to use #VideoCall in my online classroom, in 2019, I tested several solutions a lot with my students:

1st #Nextcloud Talk
2nd #Element (Riot at that time)
3rd #Jitsi
4th #Jami (Ring at that time)
5th #BigBlueButton

and I decided to use Jitsi until today, my Friend. At that time, Nextcloud Talk was not stable perhaps because our connections (Indonesia) are not good. Here's some screenshot of my teaching activity today.

I used XMPP extensively for awhile, but haven't now for a few years.

Also, I learned of #Jami there. I hadn't heard of Jami before, but sadly the website has no detail on how it achieves connections or if both endpoints must be online simultaneously for messages to be sent.
