the volume is eye-opening, Kore'eda also shows his admiration for Ōshima Nagisa's philosophy when doing documentary (I'm paraphrasing):
the filmmaker must show interest and love towards the subject filmed, and to do so she or he needs to invest time in it

🇨🇵 Je ne sais pas pour vous mais moi je trouve que ces films avec Godzilla ont un certain charme. Pas du tout intellectuels, ils sont rafraîchissants.
Je préfère les productions exclusivement japonaises. ☺️
