The latest spat between #JawShawKong and #KMT chairman #JohnnyChiang goes to show Jaw's disconnect.
In an interview, Chiang rightfully stated there was no market in #Taiwan for #Beijing's #onestatetwosystems model which has shown its true nature in #HongKong. And Chiang identified #China as a threat for Taiwan.

Less than 10% of the populace in #Taiwan identifies as Chinese rather than as Taiwanese. The fraction of #mainlanders who only came to Taiwan from 1945 to 1949 is shrinking due to age.
As election data from January 2020 show the #KMT has almost no support in the under25 age group - so this party's disconnect is only getting worse.
Running with #JawShawKong as candidate in the presidential elections in 2024 will be a failure even worse than running with #HanKuoyu.

#Taiwan's former ruling party #KMT really is disconnected from reality.
They've put their hope in #JohnnyChiang, the grandson of murderous and highly corrupt dictator #ChiangKaishek.
They're seriously considering to go into the next presidential elections with a now 70 year-old alpha-male TV anchor and network owner who split with the KMT in the early 90ies as he despised the "taiwanisation" of the KMT.
#JawShawKong supports unification with #China and denies that there is a Taiwanese identity.

Seen the defeat that #HanKuoyu suffered in the presidential elections in January 2020, his recall as a mayor of Kaohsiung and the mid- to long-term trends in how people in #Taiwan see themselves as Taiwanese, Chinese or both, it's baffling to see the #KMT go all-in on a guy like #JawShawKong.

This guy is representing less than 10 percent of the people with his wish to follow the fake 1992 consensus and to unite Taiwan with #China. The KMT shows that it's NOT a Taiwanese party. #FarEast
