Olive Thomas (1894 - 1920), actress, Ziegfeld Girl, wife of Jack Pickford, sister-in-law of Mary Pickford - died from bichloride of mercury poisoning. Accidentally took syphilis ointment as sleep medication (sometimes reported as suicide). Reputedly haunts New Amsterdam Theater, New York.
