I just read an email from a virtual Bet Midrash (House of Study) that I been accepted into the Bet Midrash: Holding Spirituality and Suffering program at SVARA. This is a legitimate group, and I'll be paired with a mutually compatible chavruta.

I will need to find a way to get these 2 required Hebrew dictionaries (which I don't have):

"When learning Talmud at SVARA (and beyond!), you’ll also need two dictionaries (not included in the package we’re sending you): ”The Jastrow” (Dictionary of the Targumim, Talmud Bavli, Talmud Yerushalmi and Midrashic Literature) and ”The Frank” (Practical Talmud Dictionary). The Jastrow is available in several free online versions as well as in hard copy (check out our website for more details on how to access the Jastrow dictionary). For hard copies, we suggest picking up both dictionaries from a local (Jewish) bookstore or directly from their publishers, which are linked above."

I hope I can find these at little to no cost because I'm very low income and have no extra funds. Otherwise, I'm very excited and happy about this. It's a bit of sunshine in my life.
