I want to start a giant DNA-based family tree to untangle everyone in this one small town who adopted the same surname. It’s possible to do, but I’d need a lot more descendants to test, in order to rule out non-parental events, etc. #genealogy #jewishgenealogy
I've posted extensively about politics today, so I wanted to post something a bit more positive.
This is one of the oldest photos of my family that I have. The older gentleman on the right is Barnett Rosenthal, my 4x great-grandfather, and the boy next to him is my 3x great-grandfather, Abraham Rosenthal. My 4x great-grandmother, Gertrude, and two of my 3x great-grandaunts, Esther and Annie, are on the left. My math indicates that the photo was taken around 1870.

I also quite enjoy #genealogy, time permitting. #JewishGenealogy #genealogyUK
and the ‘Atlantic Archipelago’ more generally.
