The whole #Jitsi situation https://jitsi.org/blog/authentication-on-meet-jit-si/ reminds me of... practically every single decentralised #FOSS software.

Certainly a half-baked solution at best by #JitsiMeet which will push away people who want to have a nice #privacy solution without tieing up external accounts.

But "not recommending Jitsi" is also naive, like not recommending #Mastodon bc mastodon.social stays federated with #Threads". As with #Mastodon, there are alternate Jitsi servers.

I was thinking the same thing for UCSD and SDCCD where I teach. Can anyone recommend good alternatives. #BigBlueButton was tricky for me. Was only able to use it to host a couple meetings. Similarly and even less successfully for #jitsi.

We learn and exercise graphic design to create a brochure.

We use #Jitsi Meet as our video conference platform.

Imagine generating a link on demand with a #mastodon bot tied to a #jitsi instance and then having the ability to record the space and then share it on here as if it was a podcast.

I'm convinced Talking conveys more than text and is better to communicate and perceive intent properly.

I for one have often hard time to identify tone/intent from text.

Perhaps #Funkwhale could be expanded this way too and store the "space" as a podcast under a channel.

#peertube could also be a contender.
