Contrived, but fun.

1️⃣ The 3 leads get a lot of screentime in this one. But the characters don’t work together as a team, which feels out of character.

2️⃣ The idea of powerful people being replaced by lookalikes is perfect for the show. And they have a lot of fun with it, particularly when Purdey and Gambit are together.

3️⃣ #JoannaLumley gets to play 2 very different characters here. And she’s fantastic at both. Particularly as the gum-chewing Lolita.

I am so thrilled that BBC Radio 4 is broadcasting a new series of 'Conversations from a Long Marriage' with Joanna Lumley and Roger Allam. Jan Etherington's writing is brilliantly funny.

My favourite line from this evening's episode is when Joanna Lumley's character complains about having to go on a cruise because she's afraid she'll encounter 'Margot and Jerry from Surbiton'.

Are they aliens or gods?They're not hostile, but they're not benevolent either. If people have to be sacrificed to maintain the integrity of space-time then so be it.

Sapphire and Steel (1979-1982) -- probably my favorite Sci-fi TV series. It's weird and creepy, and I was a little freaked out by the final episode. I shouldn't be since the nature of the series lends itself to that conclusion, and now I'd like to see it again as an adult, not a kid.
