Many people in and of Ireland will have already listened to John Creedon's deeply moving and poignant tribute to Sinéad O'Connor from last night; but if you haven't, here it is.

An incredible night of music at #VicarStreet tonight for the #RTEFolkAwards with an absolutely stellar line up of performers.
And a poignant moment when the late great Paddy Moloney was inducted into the Hall of Fame and his band, The Chieftains, played with an empty chair on which were placed Paddy's set of pipes.
#JohnCreedon did a superb job, as always, as compere.

I had no idea what the line up was going to be like for the #RTERadio1FolkAwards when I bought the tickets but I'm really looking forward to tonight in #VicarStreet
It promises to be a great night of music!

Listening to #JohnCreedon the other night and heard a beautiful duet cover of Bob Dylan's "Oh, Sister".
The male voice was immediately recogisable as Mick Flannery but it was only when the song ended that I discovered the female voice was his mother, Elaine, recorded before her death in 2014 from cervical cancer.
The album "Keepsake" by Elaine Flannery is now available for sale - all proceeds go to Marymount Hospice, Cork.
I wish #JohnCreedon was on Mastodon so I could tell him how much I'm enjoying his show this evening.
