We live in the right time and right place
To meet the need of the evolution

Today in Labor History December 8, 2015: John Trudell died on this date. The Native American author, poet and actor served as the spokesperson for the Indians of All Tribes' takeover of Alcatraz beginning in 1969, broadcasting as Radio Free Alcatraz. Throughout the 1970s, he was the chairman of the American Indian Movement. In 1979, a suspicious fire killed his pregnant wife, three children and mother-in-law on the Duck Valley Indian Reservation in Nevada. Less than 24 hours before the fire, he had burned a US flag on the steps of the FBI building in Washington D.C. in protest of the government's treatment of Indigenous Americans. Considering the FBI’s implication in harassment and murder of Native American activists during this period, many believe the government was involved in the fire.
