@lisacordaro At a job I had a long time ago it became a competition among me and two co-workers to see who got the most books as Christmas gifts.

The other two usually won, as they had larger extended families, hence more gift opportunities. But one year I got a trilogy! Three books in one! And a couple more besides.

In the five or so years we all worked together there was never a year when any of us didn't get at least one book.

The teen has marzipanned and iced the #ChristmasCake. I’ve baked mince pies. I’ve made far too many blue cheese potato cakes for our lunch tomorrow. The sellotape has run out but I’ve found a new reel secreted in a drawer by an earlier incarnation of myself (I thought I’d finished wrapping, I was wrong.) I think it might be about time to break out the traditional viewing of #TheSnowman and declare ourselves ready for #Jolabokaflod this evening.
