I still have several plug-ins/sounds/whatever to install for my little synthesizer I think. But I think before I do all that, I wanna record some stuff for #JupitersGhost just to get something accomplished and because it probably won't take too long.

Made a giant to-do list for work and then a list of today's priorities. I got all the main ones done. Also sent some more Bi+GA emails. Yesterday's Bi+GA board meeting was short and very productive. Tonight I may work on getting the basement ready to re-setup my home studio so I can record some #JupitersGhost stuff. If not today, then tomorrow. Vacation did me well I think.

My vacation is officially over. I used the time to relax away from normal stressors but also to really sit with some of the anxieties I have about my job search that I hadn't really dealt with.

I had a couple of interviews. One was a scam. The other was an accidental repeat interview with somebody new at the same recruiting office I had already talked to about the same job that apparently is on hold anyway. The recruiter I've been working with on an ongoing basis submitted me to several new jobs as well. I'll spend some time actively searching sometime this week. Progress on that will happen as it happens.

Got caught up on emails this morning. I got so caught up on everything else at work before I left that I don't have a ton of urgent stuff to work on.

I also did some Bi+ GA work today. Sent some emails about a resource fair we're organizing for Bi Month in September. Board Meeting tonight. That feels good.

I want to try and work on a temporary recording set up to do some #JupitersGhost voice work this week. My home studio had to be disassembled for more house work. I could also probably see if I can just get that set back up again since that house work is currently on hold with my partner's arm injury.

All in all, I feel pretty good. Feel like I want to actually do things. Feel like things are really gonna be okay.

We have two kind of distinct shared universes.

There's #JupitersGhost or #jg which is a CC-BY-SA 4.0 licensed podcast about a crew in space doing a star trek but without the military.

There have been cartoons, comics, short stories, and even a few computer games set in that universe already, and we're still working on the third episode of the podcast.

Our Captain Video show and Tales from the space corps are set in the same universe, several hundred years earlier. (these are in production and haven't been released yet)

Then there's the Expedition Sasquatch/Paramount Paranormal Pest Control/Dispatches from the New Ellijay Autonomous Zone/etc. shared universe where a lot of the other stuff we have planned will live.

All of that is set in a kind of Alt!Ellijay where the paranormal is just normal, the National government has more or less stopped functioning, and what's left are a bunch of people trying to take care of one another while also dealing with ghosts and monsters.

There's podcasts and shows in that universe out already, and more coming.

What to do today?

- I have a set (or four) on the docket to mix.

- I could use a propane torch on a shovel

- I could source a broom handle or something and use this film reel tin for music.

- I could do some blogging for #AnalogRevolution

- I could record a voice part as @lmoonbeam for #JupitersGhost

- I could clean my studio office

- I could write some songs

- I could do demos of the songs I have written

There are so many more things, but these are the things I have spoons for today. At least some of them.

But we're getting ready to tell lots of new stories unrelated to the first three episodes, and there has never been a better time to join the crew on their mission of mutual aide in deep space.

It's a Collaborative, Crowd Sourced, #creativeCommons #ccbysa licensed Space Adventure told via first person mission logs and inter-ship communications.

It's about the crew of the Starship Jupiter's Ghost, and the things they get up to. Largely, it's about mutual aide and solidarity in deep space. It's a light, somewhat funny show.

The goal is to build a fully open, shared world through which other kinds of space stories can be told as well.

It's well past time that we finish episode 3 of Jupiter's ghost and get on a regular cadence for release of that show.

I have been slacking, and for that I apologize. If it's any consolation, I've been miserable, but I won't be much longer!

I figure out how to do impossible things, and then I teach other people how to do those things, and then we do them together.
