DC literally can’t help following right behind the MCU hoping to catch onto each new trend. MCU drops the Avengers, then DC decides that their recent Superman reboot is actually the start of their new cinematic universe, and rush out Batman v Superman and also cram Wonder Woman, the Flash and Aquaman into the movie.

Technically Civil War came out after Batman v Superman, but I wonder who had the idea first.

Then MCU starts doing the “alternate timelines, with cameos from other actors who have played Spider-man and his villains” thing, and now the Flash is seemingly built around having as many cameos from previous actors who’ve played DC heroes as possible.

It’s a shame, I prefer DC comics and there are SOOOO MANY awesome stories they could tell with these characters but the profit motive ruins everything yet again!

@moviestvposting Wonder Woman has been pretty good so far, but tbh I’m a little disappointed with the Ares is actually the British guy fake out. I thought that Diana killing Ares and then realizing that wasn’t going to magically make the war stop was a pretty powerful scene.

I feel like a lot of movies play with big ideas like that, but then are too scared to fully commit. Say what you want about The Dark Knight, but it would be a much worse movie if at the last second it went “psych! Actually there was a reporter on the scene or something so everyone knows Batman is still a good guy!”
