Not a surprising situation at all in MO given our laws. This young man was shot THROUGH the front door glass. I don’t see how or why the shooter was allowed to go free. Scratch that, I KNOW why he was.

Our city here in the #KC ‘burbs now has TWO Hawaiian food restaurants. Do people really like #HawaiianFood that much? Am I missing something?

No, we don’t have a Hawaiian or even Polynesian population.

We were stranded in NYC for a day due to a certain airline’s poor fleet management practices and total lack of irrop preparedness.

Trying to find a bright side, so… We had a chance to visit the 1960s-themed TWA Hotel outside JFK’s T5. Very well done homage to #KC’s hometown #airline.

We got up at 2 AM to catch the very first flight out of the new #KC airport terminal at 5 AM on opening day. Landed at MDW, picked up a car, booked it back and we’ll be home to pick up kiddo from after school activity 30 mins early. We both have to work tomorrow. And we’re heading to London Saturday. What a life! #AvGeek

Tuesday I’m voluntarily waking up at 2 AM to head to the airport to catch a 5 AM departure.

Doing this for bragging rights to be on the first flight out of the new MCI terminal on opening day. The things we do to be a part of history! 😂

@at i have yet to see a red one. But the white-breasted ones here in the #kc metro area are too darn amusing. I love their goofy behavior and ability to run up and down trees. Even their calls are goofy. 🥰

Here's the juvenile Bald Eagle @Jillianmarisa and I spotted yesterday while visiting a new-to-us nature preserve on the Kansas side of #KC.

It was a pain to photograph, but this was my first-ever eagle spotting, so I'm glad I got any decent shots.

One of my favorite things to do around #solstice time is scour the seed catalogs and start planning for the upcoming year’s garden. 😂 @Jillianmarisa is playing this year too. We finally planted our garlic. #Garlic was our one saving grace in the #garden this year. The only thing terrorist squirrels and invasive pests didn’t ruin. Doubled the amount of space for it this year. YUM. #KC #gardening #growfood

Last year we won two round trip tickets good from any city to Kansas City. We live in the 'KC burbs. And apparently any city to #KC is NOT THE SAME as KC to any city. SMH! 🙄
