@EllenInEdmonton @kdrama Being the hardcore brony that I am, I love Dramas that are unrealistically fluffy. I made an exception a few years ago for Prison Playbook. If you haven't yet seen it and if it is still accessible to you, I say with some confidence that it should pass your reality test. I watched it on the glowing recommendation of a close Korean friend who NEVER watches #KDramas but who loved that one, saying it reminded him of his time in prison in Korea. 😊

It's an oft-mocked trope in #KDramas but I salute the skill of female actors who can manage to trip while walking on flat, level paved surfaces while wearing rubber-soled flat walking shoes. It's an art! 🤣

I think I mentioned taking a break from #KDramas but I’m watching The Hungry and The Hairy on Netflix. It’s a pretty nice reality show featuring Rain and his friend - another Korean celebrity, traveling around South Korea, enjoying various beautiful places and eating local food. They start off on Jeju island!

I've been tooting about #KDramas more in the last week as I start working through the backlog on my watchlist, so fans of that form of entertainment may have been exposed to a lot of toots about #Arsenal, aka #ArsenalFC, #TheArsenal
The Venn diagram of the intersection between these 2 major interests of mine is ONE KDrama. Unsurprisingly, it's a fave. "Because It's My First Life" features 2 of my favourite actors whose characters are brought together because of both being #Gooners 😍

Besides impressing me with its teetotal-by-choice ML, the #CDrama I'm watching scores big over #KDramas in one important aesthetic element - EVERY set of frames ACTUALLY has glass in it. Few things push my "grrr" buttons as effectively as the mind-numbingly STUPID K-fashion trend for wearing empty frames 😡

Watching a #CDrama and very impressed by something I don't ever recall seeing in any of the 300 or so #KDramas I have seen - a male lead who chooses not to drink alcohol. The way #KDramas continue to glorify Korea's toxic drinking culture is a persistent bane for me

Although I’m taking a break from watching #KDramas I love listening to #kdrama OST every single day.

Now that I’ve completed #DoomAtYourService I’ll be taking a three week break from #KDramas Resume watching them in mid-August when schools reopen! #SummerBreak is coming to an end.

I love #KDramas with the trope of two people who are at first very annoyed with each other, but slowly come to appreciate, befriend and sometimes even love each other.

He terminado de ver #CursoIntensivoDeAmor y me ha gustado. Hay detalles que no lo han hecho, sobre todo por el personaje autista (parte bien, parte mal), lo cual me crea muchos conflictos.

Sin embargo, lo que es la historia en sí me ha gustado porque retrata perfectamente la presión social sobre les estudiantes surcoreanes para entrar a la universidad.

Currently, there seems to be a lot of #KDramas and #JDramas educating the public about such things as the actual monetary value of housework in the form of silly, light entertainment. Perhaps US rom-coms could do the same.
