Excited because my next jigsaw puzzle arrived today - "Dinner With Frida" (Kahlo), the wonderful Mexican artist. I find it important to have an emotional connection with the puzzle. This one has it in spades.

It also features Leon Trotsky— his face is obscured on the left of the middle title square. In my callow, communist youth in the 1970's, I was much taken with him and his life. Isaac Deutscher's three-volume biography of him, which I still have, is a masterpiece. #jigsaw #kahlo #trotsky
