Honestly, as I watch through the Leangle stuff in Blade, having an old co-worker of Tachibana's come back and be mad that he gave up the belt and be corrupted by the Leangle belt isn't a terrible idea and is a good way to get Tachibana back into action.

it's just that Hiryu immediately has the whole "cyborg taser arm he uses to execute criminals" that makes it hard to take seriously or as anyone other than "ah, murderous weirdo."

I love the wild fanfic energy of this series. The fact that it's canon that Professor Banno and the Ark are penpals and that if you leave George Karizaki and Sakuya Tachibana alone unsupervised they'll redevelop the DecadeDriver is incredible. XD
Also them reviving Brain, getting the actor back, but he's only onscreen for one shot and then spends the rest of the ep cowering in the corner is incredible. XD

Those costumes were also used for the "Coming Out Of Our Shells" concert tour. There were musical numbers, but this has more in common with a #SuperSentai or #KamenRider stage show. They would film and release the SOLD OUT MSG performance... which was a joy of my childhood. (I had the VHS.)
