The company’s ships landed at Kangaroo Island in July 1836, but the settlers found the land too harsh, so almost all moved on to Adelaide.
In 1920, the company sold my half-acre block in central Kingscote to the Northcott family of Nuriootpa.

Absolutely delighted that I now have the VIN number for my new electric car, with the paperwork indicating the build date was actually back on July 22, so it already exists and is due at Volvo Polestar Adelaide as soon as September 13!

I saw a Narooma sticker on a blue Hilux at the Kingscote jetty. Turns out the owner was from the ACT and spent a lot of time at Narooma before recently moving to KI. I lived in Narooma for 12 years and almost 6 years on KI.
