Spent some time today watching 912 Days of the Warsaw Ghetto. 36 minutes of documentary footage highlighting starvation, forced labor, and annihilation is more than enough to understand the gruesome horrors of life and death experienced by ghetto inhabitants. Horrible to watch, but recommended for anyone who has only seen a few minutes of coverage within other, more general documentaries. Free on #Kanopy with library card. #Holocaust #education #History

Today James Burke's 1985 #science #history TV show and companion book came into my head today. I haven't seen it since it first aired. He explored moments of science discovery that changed the world. It wasn't splashy, but it was engrossing and fascinating for me. #Kanopy doesn't have it, but they have his earlier series, Connections. #JamesBurke

I watched TEA WITH THE DAMES (2018) on #Kanopy. Eileen Atkins, Judi Dench, Joan Plowright, and Maggie Smith get together and discuss their careers. It's delightful, funny, and revealing. #movies
