People gathered at the Boudha stupa (Bouddhanath) on a sunny, spring afternoon. Bouddhanath is the largest stupa in Nepal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a very important religious centre for the locals, Tibetan refugees and all the Buddhists.

Shiva's Anger

Mammatus cloud above the Durbar Square on a mid-April afternoon, shortly before the storm &heavy rainfall. It's the Hindu god Shiva in the foreground, sitting on his bull Nandi & pointing the above with his trishul, the trident. The natural phenomenon seems to be the effect of the god’s rage or anger. And indeed, Shiva is considered to be the god of destruction, and there are numerous stories about the god getting angry.

The writ submitted with the demand that Nepali Congress Party should not be recognized as the main opposition party has been dismissed by the Supreme Court. Now the issue of which party is the main opposition in the parliament will fall under the jurisdiction of the parliament.

is a super walkable city. Wish the city government still provided more importance to pedestrians than roads

current air quality - amongst the worst in South Asia and perhaps the world.
Difficult to see these trends reversing with increasing population, congestion, traffic, and urbanization.

Air pollution in can be very unhealthy particularly during winter. With no rain during winter, it is difficult have clear days without smog and aerosol pollution.
I have yet to have a clear view and glimpse of the from my house in the last three weeks.

Here is the sad thing about in

Drinking water comes once a week for 5-6 hours which has to filled up in a tank for most households. The project that was supposed to provide water to the valley took more than 23 years to complete. Problem is population has tripled & climate disasters have interrupted operations which has resulted in intermittent supply.

Should we still target for to solve these types of urban water crises? I'm not so sure anymore
