Peter Runge discovered a bug, that is fixed with these releases.

Message transmission between #KeePassXC and a client uses a random generated nonce, a 24 bytes long random data, base64 encoded, which is contained in the messages. This nonce is incremented to the response. There was a bug when the last nonce byte rolls over from 255 to 0.

Kudos to Peter Runge for contributing the fix. #Cryptomator

So many people made a very bad decision with putting their most precious personal data on the public #cloud run by #lastpass and now many of them migrate to yet another public cloud? 🤷

Finally got done changing all the passwords in a new password manager (#KeePassXC ... for now) and deleting the whole thing in LastPass was so satisfying.

It's very nice. This poll about #PasswordManager now surpasses 2000 participants (and still counting).

#LastPass got hacked and now you see recommendations for #Bitwarden and #1Password all over the place.

It's like everybody hit their head and forgot basic principles of security.

If you care about your passwords, keep them local. Use something like #keepass, #KeePassXC or similar. Be in control of them, not rely on some random company to do it for you.

It becomes more amazing. Now it's 2 days and this #poll got 1200 people participating already (and still counting).

See KeePassXC got 50% and Bitwarden got 34% so far.

The library and the plug-in received a 🆕 feature.

They are now able to connect to #KeePassXC installed as a #Snap or a #Flatpak package. The processes of the running KeePassXC instance are analyzed to achieve this. #Cryptomator

@j_opdenakker i started with #1Password on the #Mac almost #10Years back then. I didn't liked the subscription model so I quit this app.

After switching back to #Windows and #Android I only use #KeePassXC to store all my Passwords. 😉

@anzmeer einst hatte ich #1Password in Nutzung, zu erst damals auf dem Mac & iPhone und später auch auf Windows.

Da ich jedoch kein Freund von Geschäftsmodell eines permanent #Abonnement bin, habe ich irgendwann vor Jahren den Umstieg auf #KeePassXC gemacht welches zudem in meiner eigenen #NextCloud gespeichert ist, nie betreut. 😉

Client existiert für die gängigen Betriebssysteme, also von daher auch super. 😃

من از #bitwarden استفاده می کنم و واقعا خوبه. اما امروز درمورد #KeePass کمی سرچ کردم و برام جالب شد که مدتی امتحانش کنم. هر دو #نرم‌افزار_آزاد هستند.
برنامه ای که حسین معرفی کرد #KeePassXC نسخه دسکتاپ برای گنو/لینوکس و آی‌او‌اس است و برای استفاده تو مرورگر های فایرفاکس و کروم هم افزونه داره. برای اندروید هم چند نسخه توی #fdroid پیدا کردم. مثلا #KeePassDX.

@funqr relativ regelmäßig schaue ich in #KeePassXC welches #Konto schon ziemlich alt ist und wann zuletzt benutzt.
Danach entscheide ich dann ob das sofort gelöscht werden kann oder erst nochmal unter Beobachtung bleibt. 😏
