When I was a kid they tried to sell us on the the bullshit that #videogames and #music were the cause of all evil in #America and corrupting everyone, especially #youth, into #psychos and #killers. Funny thing is, I never saw anyone writing #manifestos to Judas Priest or anything, and I sure as shit never saw anyone killing anyone with a fucking video game controller or copy of #Doom on floppy disk. It’s about the #guns and everything physically, mentally, culturally and legally about them.

Mind, this is nowhere near my favorite #Killers song, not by a long shot. It gets a bit heavy-handed in spots, but the image of those people scaling that #wall, with the lyrics -- I know it's meant to elicit a gut reaction, #outrage, tug on the #heartstrings. But dammit if it's not also all fucking #true.
