Just to add: a friend recently told me that #KingstonUniversity in London is closing its politics department, and that therefore from Sep onwards they have no job. This even though the dep is not running a deficit. The #University claim they are closing it in anticipation. What it boils down to is that this government wants poor people to do vocational stuff, not to become critical thinkers #GTTO
