I've worked with many #package #repository formats and I have yet to see something better and simpler than what #kisslinux has. Really. Nothing else comes close to it.

Right now I am loking at #bedrocklinux :bedrock: and #KissLinux and they ate both very intresting projects. If someone uses tjem I want to know how it works for you.

Now my #KissLinux have a barebone graphical session (#sway) and a web browser installed (#qutebrowser).

For now I used #flatpak to provide some binary packages but I'm still thinking if I like it.

That was not as problematic as I anticipated.

But I'm pondering about removing #gcc, as #llvm is dependency of some packages and I use #clangd in my code editor, and compiling both toolchains takes time…

I managed to install #KissLinux.

But a bare tty isn't very exciting, so there is a little more to do before I could show something.

Long time ago I tried to install #gentoo but didn't succedeed, so I installed #arch instead and it become my main distro for long, long time.

I wanted to try source based distro again to overwrite the failure with gentoo and surprisingly installing kiss linux was quite simple.

Only problem I had was #grub didn't like "--march=native -O2" CFLAGS and was crashing.

I like how many people in the #KissLinux community have their own little repository with their packages and scripts and other stuff. Like a little treasure chest that everybody has at home where they keep their favorites.

@cyberfarmer I wanted to see what the people in the #KissLinux irc were up to, because I am playing around with that distro.

I managed to fuck up my kernel, because I wanted to fix an error, which I could have easily fixed by updateing my grub-config... But managed to spend a good chunk of my freetime for reconfiguring my kernel, before realized that...

Got my #KissLinux installation up an running. Now I only need to package mpd and mpc for a solid alrounder setup.

I am now trying gkisslinux, basically #KissLinux , but with glibc, because there I can have my nvidia drivers. And I gotta say, installing such a minimal distro, even though it looks harder, is really easy.

Alright, I guess I have figured out why Firefox was not working on #KissLinux. Somehow my display was not initialized properly. Also got sound working, but why the hell does ALSA have to be so complicated.
But Firefox is still very slow and I can't figure out why...
I'll take another shot at that another time tho.

Packaging with Kiss Linux is really easy tho. Managed to package polybar-dwm-module and it's dependencys really easily.
I really like the concept, that one person can maintain the entire system.

Alright, my firefox on Kiss Linux is not stable at all. It maybe launches every 5th try, but it does not show errors at all....
Also I am really struggling with audio
