So the problem I have right now with my cranberry wine experiment is that I'm not sure when to bottle the wild yeast version. I'm told wild yeast does work on its own schedule, so do I wait until there's no more bubbling at all? Or do I switch it into another bottle, leaving the yeasty sediment behind for a while? I'm really not sure.

Not really easy to see in this photo, but you can definitely make out the edge of the pattern.

It was more well defined a couple of days ago, should have taken a shot then.

Oddly, the wild yeast and bread yeast didn't do this at all. The wild didn't foam at all, and the bread foamed all over the surface pretty much from the start.

The wildest thing about my cranberry wine experiments has been that when I look closely at the bottle with the wine yeast in it, the thin foam forms a well-defined, geometric star pattern.

It took me a little while to figure that out, but it turns out that's the same shape as the indentation on the bottom of the bottle, and therefore the least sugar and sediment will have settled there. Isn't that wild?
