My backups were good (thanks #kopia!) but it didn't help, maybe something is wrong with the latest version

Kopia seems to be such a great tool

Ne pas travailler le dimanche soir. Voilà le genre de commandes débiles que j'ai pu taper, les yeux ensommeillés, pour effacer un stupide répertoire nommé "~" :

rm -rf -- ~

Ctrl-c au bout de qq secondes, mais c'est très long à l'échelle d'un processeur...

Et que s'est-il passé ensuite ? Ben rien 😅, parce je fais des #backups réguliers 💪 (et le dernier datait de quelques heures)

"kopia diff | grep removed" pour voir ce qui a disparu, et "kopia mnt" pour tout récupérer

With #kopia I’ll be able to backup my laptop, incrementally, to my #NAS with #webdav and then backup my NAS to #Scaleway with the CLI via S3

I bought an HDMI switch the other day, and it is such a useful tool. I can easily switch from my work Windows computer to my personal Linux computer with the press of a button and moving a USB dongle for my keyboard.

I am about to configure Syncthing to keep the files on these two computers in sync. I am backing up on Windows with Kopia and I will make a secondary backup on Linux with Borg.

Kopia eller Dubblett?
En #kopia är ett identiskt exemplar av information som redan finns. Tex A4 papper som kopieras i en kopiator eller en fil som existerar på en yta men genom en dators funktioner hamnar på en annan yta utan att den försvinner från den ursprungliga.
Dubbletter skapas i flera exemplar vid samma tillfälle. Till exempel tryckta böcker eller en ansökan som inkommit till någon instans i både pappers- och digital form. #information #arkiv #infosäk #dubblett #informationssäkerhet

Je découvre #Kopia, un outil de sauvegarde avec compression, déduplication, chiffrement de bout-en-bout et sauvegarde dans le cloud - comme il commence à exister plein, mais celui là fonctionne sur Linux, Windows et macOS, et possède une interface graphique (encore jeune).
