The deal rewards Turkish demands for Sweden’s collaboration in its anti-Kurdish repression — and makes a mockery of NATO’s purported stand for freedom.
He has used this bargaining power to issue a laundry list of demands, primarily focused on making it easier for Turkey to continue its aggressive assaults on Kurdish rights, autonomy, and political organization — and even target the Kurdish diaspora in Europe.

In 2016, a man with a sabre violently attacked a migrant camp . He was then released pending bail and went on today to kill three members of the Kurdish community. That community began protesting as to why such a dangerous man was released. The police then attacked the protestors.

Once again a marginalised community is chastised by a state that should look after them.
