This Apple TV broadcast of MLS is really good. The 1080p makes a huge difference, and I love that you can choose the studio audio or local radio. (I love Dave Denholm, #LAFC’s radio announcer and will definitely listen to him when I watch.)

But the studio audio is great too, announcers are god and they have great crowd mics and it’s mixed really well. This is all great so far, I can’t wait to see the whiparound show when the rest of the matches start at 4.

Well, a flooded Rose Bowl means we aren't going to get an #LAFC season opener today, but the bright side is I guess I get to check out the new Apple TV broadcast product. To be honest, kind of looking forward to an afternoon watching sports while it rains outside.

Banc of California Stadium will be changing its name to "BMO Stadium."

FWIW, The Militant has never seen an actual Banc Of California branch IRL.

BMO stands for "Bank of Montreal" & is based in the Canadian city. Banc of California initially inked a $100M deal w/LAFC for the naming rights for 15 years upon its 2019 opening, but backed out in 2020.

Oh well, at least it's not a cr*ptocurrency-related company this time. 😝

I'm excited for the #MLSCup final today between #LAFC and #PhiladelphiaUnion. I hope it's a good game... not only because I want to enjoy it, I suppose that's obvious, but I also would like to see #soccer continue to grow in the US.
