#LOTRonPrime was very entertaining and beautifully shot. I liked the plot for the most part, but some reveals weren't that satisfying. I'm not well-versed in #Tolkien, so maybe I missed the nuances that annoy real fans. I liked the return to this world. Definitely better than #Hobbit 2 and 3 for me.

Just finished episode 5 of #LOTRonPrime with my wife and yeah, it's got its flaws but the atmosphere is super immersive. The attention to detail in the sets and costumes exceeds our expectations.

Finally catching up with #LOTRROP, and I'm kind of liking it? Despite some eye-roll worthy plot contrivances and story choices, I feel like it's generally pretty good for those not knee-deep in the lore. I feel like maybe people's standards for fantasy series are too high? To see this much investment and thought put into a high fantasy show would've been unthinkable before #GoT, and it is, after all, a first season, which are almost always a bit clunky. My 2¢! Excited to see how it ends.

I actually enjoyed the Rings of Power show but I am coming around to the idea that the protagonist would have been better as Celebrian (a blank slate that we know little about) than as Galadriel. She could be bitter about her uncle, rebel against Galadriel instead of Gil-galad, and you'd still have the added narrative weight to the encounter in the Hobbit movies.

Not an original idea, in the least, but the question of "lore" goes away with this small change.
