Magic is my favorite player because flashy passes are more entertaining than scoring (except for those rare monster dunks).
But the reason Kobe is the greatest Laker ever is not just because of the point average. It's because he was a lock-down defender, while Magic was merely average in that department for much of his career.

It's a particularly good day when an LA sports team loses 4 games in a row and is eliminated from the playoffs after eliminated a Bay Area team.
The Nugget are up 3-0 over the Lakers in the 2nd round of the NBA playoffs and are leading Game 4 by 94-89 at the end of the 3rd quarter.
Here's hoping they finish the job and beat LA in 4 games straight.
