I'm enjoying these and adding to my (previously much shorter) list. The immediate goal is to recognize enough Khmer characters to make a guess at the sounds of written words.

There is a fair bit of overlap between #Thai & #Khmer #languages.

The word "day" ថ្ងៃ is different in Thai but the following parts of the names of days of the week are similar in sound and also have the same meanings as celestial bodies. English & other languages have similar etymology.

The two main #Languages I am learning are #Korean and #Spanish however I’m seriously considering adding #Japanese to that lineup because I’ve been studying more lately and loving it so much. Three “serious” languages (what I mean by that is I am more actively studying them) can I do we shall see!
