Fun tip:
(almost) Everything on #boxes.py (https://www.festi.info/boxes.py/) an be cut from cardboard. And even the humblest cheap diode #lasercutter can cut cardboard.

I've used this to good effect with some of the 'hinged box' designs for presents and gifts.

But this is more practical, a sorting tray that took an hour from thinking about it to fully assembled. So tight it doesn't need glue, and fully #recyclable once it gets manky or superseded.

Friday is laser day. Continued #k40 #Lasercutter improvement: moved the webcam, istalled a USB isolator (to prevent EMI USB issues, way better now), tensioned the X axis belt so 150mm/s works and made some nice things.

I'm looking for some sources concerning Laserengraving/ cutting. I am playing around with this matter for a while and am now thinking about buying one:

Can you recommend a good engraver /cutter for different Materials like wood, leather / Metal or a starting point for research, due to the question being more of a "read my mind"-thing 😄

Cost: 500-800€ or $ - My search by Google was undermined from pages pulling me into shady places ("this is the best and only engraver you'll ever need!111" 🫥)

Also any source for reading concerning this is highly appreciated - I have experience with inkscape from another hobby and am aware of the dangers w/ this matter.
