#FairyTaleTuesday: A young lad had a bad time with his farmer. For good work there was only scolding and little bread. So one day he set off to try his luck far away. In the evening, he had no choice but to sleep in an enchanted castle in the #Lavant Valley. At midnight, however, a little man with a long, ice-gray beard jumped on his chest. It tore at his hair, slapped, pinched, tickled and scratched him. Only after an hour, the ordeal was over. For two more nights this went on.
On the third morning, a snow-white maiden stood before the green and blue beaten lad. As a reward for her redemption, he got a "Cloth Set Yourself". This served him whatever food he desired.
After he had eaten his fill for the first time in his life, the young lad strode out in good cheer.
Later, for inviting a hungry beggar woman to a sumptuous meal with wine, he received a moth-eaten cardigan. All he had to do was unfold it and there stood a stately home.
The next day he met a ragged beggar. In return for a sumptuous meal, the beggar gave him a tattered hat. As often as he turned it, so many cannon shots went off.
So whenever a rogue came to take it all away from him, he turned his tattered hat.
