Have you noticed that when university people present their oh-so-serious pronouncements on ‘the future of #education’ (and they do very often) there’s always a picture of a model in a VR headset but when you read the detail it’s always just what we’ve always done plus something something values and buzzword bingo and sustainability something something microcredentials.

I am undertaking research into attitudes towards and perceptions of contract cheating, within UK-based higher education.

Below is a link to an anonymous survey, which takes around 5-10 minutes to complete. The survey can be taken by #Students or #Teachers / #Lecturers / #Professors / #Tutors / #Instructors or anybody who has taught in some capacity at a UK-based higher educational facility. It does not matter if you reside in the UK, just that you taught / studied at a UK-based institution, no matter how long ago.

This research is for my #MBA #Dissertation and therefore all responses will be extremely helpful.

#introduction post after a week of lurking. Like a lot of other people, I've discovered the fediverse recently after years of becoming disillusioned with and losing interest in social media. But having an interest in how people communicate, collaborate, and build communities online is an important aspect of my job with Nottingham Trent University, so I'm fascinated to see how this migration unfolds. I am part of a team that supports Arts and Humanities colleagues with technology as part of how we teach and learn. Right now I'm focussed on understanding how digital confidence is developed, and whether it's different from digital competence (or literacies, or capabilities, or skills or...)

I have a research and teaching background in American Studies, so I feel like I might be at home here in hcommons.social.
