(fwiw: I personally don't face the smudging issue because my hand rests a good 4-5 lines below the line that the nib's scratching.)
last left-hand skill mastered? brushing my teeth.
next left-hand skill in line? i dont know, maybe getting some sort of control over those fugging nailclippers?
