AFAIK lentils mean money, pork/pig digs out the luck, but you should avoid poultry as they bury your luck 🙂

It’s #NewYear’sDay in this #Anglo-Hungarian household, and #LentilSoup with ham is served. It always reminds me of M. Gustave’s line in Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel: ‘may I offer any of you inmates a plate of mush’.
