Was it an extreme mid-life crisis - a fear that he didn’t have it in him to achieve the goals he had left, such as directing a great film? A fear that he was on his way down as an actor & singer? Was it connected to his mysterious illness, perhaps a fear of what it might be? Was it related to the strain of living as a fairly openly #gay man in a conservative society? #LeslieCheung #HongKong
