Just picked up Lex Arcana and holy cats, it's very cool - I wish I'd had this back in the days when I was trying to run a Mythic Rome game in REIGN. Shares a little DNA with The One Ring 2E but is its own peculiar, mathy, very pointedly cosmopolitan Imperial Rome thing.

Now if I could only find like 3 people who want to play imperial supernatural troubleshooters in an alt-history Roman empire. That's not, y'know, a vanishingly tiny niche. 😔

This is a tough one. I think #LexArcana 's dice mechanics were really smart, where you can gamble on the amount of dice for each roll, to set how much risk you want/need to take on any action. More dice is a higher chance of a simple success, but fewer dice is a higher risk of a critical success (or a critical failure).

Yesterday, a bottle leaked in my bag. At least two books are totally broken - a #UsagiYojimbo TPB and the #LexArcana #Quickstarter.
Maybe someone wants to get rid of their #LexArcana #Quickstarter (en) or knows where I can get a replacement?

#Uhrwerk hat ein Update gegeben. Was ich darin spannend fand: Verbotene Lande Eränzungen werden mit Blutmark und dem Bestiarium übersetzt (Crowdfunding). Die Basisbox wird nachgedruckt. Es kommt später auch #Dragonbane von #Freeleague. Uhrwerk übernimmt aus gleichem Haus #Symbaroum. #LexArcana bekommt Ägypten. Kleo! Und, äh... bei #Splittermond soll es auch wieder mal Zeugs geben; Mini-Regionalband mit #Frynjord. Gletscherzwerge! Eis! Go Hamelmann!

Saturday 4th Feb I'll be running a #TTRPG game of #LexArcana at @Delieriumrpg, in person game event at Lier, Belgium.

Would recommend LA for anyone into Roman (alternate) history; as well as anyone who wants to try some unique dice mechanics.

@dmtales I'm always running multiple systems and campaigns at once, so it hasn't changed too much for me, I mainly just excised OSE (and other OGL games) from my portfolio.

But I started last week with a #WorldsWithoutNumber campaign and will start an #ACKS campaign as soon as my ongoing #ForbiddenLands campaign ends (by then, ACKSII should be out and should be fully OGL proofed). #MausRitter, #LexArcana and #PirateBorg are all scheduled for one shots.

Interessanterweise listet #LexArcana Hydras nicht mit unter Drachen auf. Tja nun was meint ihr? Sind Hydren/Hydras Drachen?

Played #LexArcana today. 3rd session of the Quickstart because we're playing super slow and only 2 hours at a time. Also, that was my 3rd night of #TTRPG in a row. Been a good week. now it's gonna be a few days until my next game :)

Just played second #ttrpg session of #LexArcana . Combat happened. Was very interesting. The dice point system did delay us a bit still as the game was all new to everyone, but I have the feeling if everyone knows what they're doing this can be super fast and interactive. Had great fun though. Always love a good #RomanEmpire ttrpg.
