"Political support for Cambridge congestion charge falters"

I suspected the LibDems would withdraw support for the Cambridge congestion charge. Doing so helps in the party's battle with Tories in key council wards and parliamentary constituencies.

The political shenanigans leave us with the problems of a rapidly growing but fundamentally mediaeval city in near permanent gridlock and appalling air quality.

The Royal Mail used to be a truly wonderful company, until it was privatised...... we've had post being delivered at 8pm, several days with no post whatsoever and then mass-drop through the letter box.

Feeling very sorry for the posties in a what is now a vastly resource-depleted company that only cares for its shareholders.

Both Tories & Lib-Dems are to blame for this one, fuck you Vince Cable.

People might choose #TacticalVoting in the election booth but that is only between them and their conscience on election day.

But for now #Labour and #LibDems' is to prove that they are worthy of it and will have the strength to convince and deliver change rather than choosing the easier path of doing nothing

"Northstowe: The broken-promise new town built 'with no heart'"

Telling residents that "Maybe a management of expectations might have been a good way to go." is not a good look for the #LibDems in the party's flagship East Anglian district council. Promises have not been honoured, and #Northstowe residents still have no shops, GP surgery, or pretty much anything else. I've seen the town, and it's a soulless shell.

The irony is that, had #Starmer united the party like he promised to do in his election pledges, #Labour might now be on course to winning a majority instead of all the talk being of coalitions with the #LibDems

As you watch #EdDavey talk about a new era for the #LibDems, don't forget that he was sitting in the room with #NickClegg when they facilitated/enabled the start of the current Tory regime in the coalition arrangement of 2010.... If there's another hung parliament would you trust him not to decide to go into coalition with the 'reasonable' wing of the Tory party - they did it once, they could do it again!

The one thing that really depresses me with this #UKLocalElection is #Labour & #LibDems banging about their #Wins. They are going to totally bury the idea of any #ProportionalRepresentation and they will get smashed again under First pass the post sooner rather than later
