We’ve all flipped to the end of a book to make sure that everything will turn out ok for a favorite character, right?

For the first time in my life I’ve just done this with an audiobook: “The Good Sister” by #SallyHepworth. I’m using the #LibbyApp. I dropped a bookmark and then hopped to the last couple of chapters and sampled a few moments so I could be sure that Fern and Wally would be ok. *Whew* what a relief. Now I can continue to listen stress-free. #bookstodon

I started listening to #NickAndCharlie by Alice Oseman, not realizing it's part of a #BookSeries. I've never read #Solitaire, but is it something I should be looking into?

I've really fallen hard for the #LibbyApp now that I'm adjusted to my longer commutes to work. I have always hated #audiobooks but now I've realized their use.

Only problem is I can't listen to non fiction books. I hear a historical fact I think is cool and I want to check the source and find more info.

I CAN'T DO THAT IN AN AUDIOBOOK WHILE DRIVING!

That's okay. My library has an unfortunately small collection of history audiobooks anyways.

@willaful #LibbyApp took “The Duke Gets Even” back to the library (I’m in the hold list, I’ll get it back eventually) so for audio I’m listening to P. T. Deutermann’s “The Commodore”, which is an experiment for me; I’ve enjoyed other naval audiobooks but have no experience with Deutermann.

@willaful still listening to “The Duke Gets Even”, I think it’s going to be due in #LibbyApp before I finish it and I’ll have to wait out the hold line again. In text, Nalini Singh’s “Rock Addiction” because I like the rock star trope, but this one isn’t really ringing my bells yet.

@herhandsmyhands among the eight libraries I can see on #libbyApp (including the Boston Public Library) the shortest line is “about 13 weeks”. BPL has 174 people in line. Those aren’t Emily Henry numbers but they’re on the order of Christina Lauren numbers… and for a book that’s been out nearly four years!

@willaful I’m in the middle of two different Serena Bell novels in two different apps; “Wilder at Last,” her latest, in #LibbyApp , and “Do Over” which only seems to be in Hoopla. Last night I finished Kyla Zhao’s “The Fraud Squad” which was fun but only nominally a romance.

@willaful I was in the middle of Hannah Grace’s “Icebreaker” but Abby Jimenez’s latest (“Yours Truly”) came off the ridiculously long library hold list (253 people in line at Boston Public Library according to #LibbyApp ) so I’m reading that to keep the queue moving (plus I’ve loved Jimenez’s other four). Also listening to Sarah Maclean’s “Bombshell” in the car and appreciating the narrator struggling with an “American” accent

@willaful midway through “The Dare” which is the last (as far as I know) of Elle Kennedy’s Briar U/Off Campus college hockey series. Kennedy has some co-authored books with Bowen and their tone/voice is very similar; these books are like candy for me.
Also working my way through Serena Bell’s Wilder Adventures series which has finally arrived in my library’s #LibbyApp catalog. And there’s a lot of good stuff due in April that I have on hold 😃

@willaful I’m reading The Score by Elle Kennedy because apparently I’m a sucker for college hockey books. They’re like candy and I consume them that fast. Before that was Joanna Shupe’s The Lady Gets Lucky and next will be Trish Doller’s Off The Map, which just released on Tuesday but I got on the hold queue in #LibbyApp at just the right time.

In print (but actually on #LibbyApp on my phone) I’m reading The Hooker and The Hermit by #PennyReid and LH Cosway. I love Reid’s characters and their quirks, but I often find myself bogged down in her stories; it’s as though they’re too rich. I’m not so talented at seeing the differences to know what’s Reid and what’s Cosway here, but obviously the issue is that I can’t handle Reid straight and need her mixed with someone.

@lauravivanco Hm. So: #libbyApp has a "Legible" setting which is definitely legible but not this font. (It's serifed.) I have control of the type size, and it's plenty large, but after a while size isn't enough. Kobo's iOS app is frustratingly ignoring my size settings, so I'm not surprised I can't add a new font. I'm going to see if I can integrate it more at work, though.
