@Limerick1914 Just to add to this that almost every single book I read and buy, I have taken out of the library first.

As Liam says, this ensures authors get paid a small royalty but it also saves me a fortune! After bills, books are probably my biggest spend and doing this ensures what I buy are books that I really want and value.
