If you've experienced videos not loading recently,
It's because of recent YouTube changes, Piped's video proxies are facing IP bans, causing playback issues. You can temporarily resolve this by going to settings -> audio and video -> disabling piped proxy.

(Keep in mind, by doing this, your IP address becomes visible to YouTube servers. We highly recommend using a VPN)

@ADHDefy also the best things about some #foss apps is that if i wanna switch to another app, i can export my settings, like if i have some channel subscriptions on my #freetube desktop, I can export & import it to my #libretube android, and they are completely different projects. they just kinda support and be compatible with each other. 😺

At this point, I just have both #NewPipe and #LibreTube installed on my phone. I prefer LibreTube when it works, but it often doesn't. It looks like #Google is actively trying to break the #Piped API (which LibreTube depends on) from accessing #YouTube.

@ryancoordinator #libretube still works. Although we need more contributors though. It's fully native #kotlin android client, so relatively easy to learn to code.

To anyone using Libretube and is getting the "Content Not Available" currently, switch to the piped.yt instance. That one is working for me.

Some instances are currently working fine and not affected, So changing the instance might temporarily fix the issue for you.
