A year ago my wife and I did a roadtrip from Tulsa, OK to Nashville, TN and this is a chart of all the license plates we saw on the road. Per our own house rule, if we saw a passenger vehicle and a semi truck with the same plate we tagged it passenger. #Travel #LicensePlates

Told by my nephew that this motorcycle has a flip up rear plate to avoid identification. So is it illegally parked? I neglected to photograph the plate or the VIN or remember where it was parked. It was on some side street 8th? around 4th avenue.
I was carrying my phone, maybe Google Maps history has my path. FWIW Google Image search says its a Honda CBR600RR.

Google Timeline says Broadway and 8th, Northeast corner.

Its also parked on the sidewalk.

At a CB7 meeting zoom tonight during discussion of obscured license plates proliferating throughout the district, was having a side convo using Q&A function with city attorney while looking for license plate covers online. NYC makes Amazon post that it will not deliver. eBay, Facebook Marketplace do not. You can probably get them on CraigsList. City has a lot of work.

I had no idea of the extent. I see a lot of #tempTags. Will have to start photographing them. Found out that if a vehicle has no plates I should not call it in as abandoned because the perp can just move it before #DSNY responds. I'll call it in as illegal parking and that way the #NYPD comes quick. On the #UpperWestSIde they are even likely to ticket.
