For most of my life I was waiting for something to happen.
Even after all the pieces have been placed on the chessboard of my life I still had the feeling that something else needs to happen. So I waited, always looking over my shoulder so I wouldn't miss it.
I didn't see it coming, at that point in my life I gave up expectations, I gave up everything. I was just trying to keep my sanity.
Chris came silently, gently, and honestly into my life. Shared passion for photography did its part and the rest is history.
Now, I know piece and love, I know how a soulmate and a lover in one feels like.

What brought all this tonight?
A walk down a memory lane while cleaning out my contacts. Some old conversations came up, memories of some different time.
It's been 3 years but it feels like it was a decade ago since I said No to all the expectations but my own.

We all grow in our own time and retracing the steps and pinpointing the exact moment it started is ... is something special. The person I was bleed in ink to prevent sinking to the very bottom of misery. I'm nowhere near misery now, it's just a remembrance of some other time. It doesn't hurt to visit those memories now and then, it makes me appreciate even more the things I now have.

Birthday party.
My brother turned 40, and my father 70.
My brother and his friends are still singing and enjoying live music.
My children are asleep and so is Chris.
I returned after putting them to sleep to enjoy the music and remember some different times people now dancing and singing were reliving tonight.

Time stops for no one. Everything changes but memories are the only thing we have from some different, and maybe better, times.

Age is just a number. Life doesn't stop with numbers it stops when we give up and give in to prejudice.

Okay, it's not funny but it's better to laugh then to cry.
It was the last stroke of an ax to do the kindling that almost chopped off my finger.
Well, to be fair it's my poor eye -hand coordination this morning to be blamed for disabling me for a few days.
At least it's my left hand that's resting 🙃

As people age they do face more barriers to employment, despite the fact that they have more #lifeExperience to impart.

#MedicalCosts do also go up.

We are not talking a huge disparity. Eg. 500/mnth for one child 750 for two. 750 max.

800/mnth at 18 yo but quickly goes up to 1400 by the time they turn 40, then up slower to 1600 as they approach 80 yo.

Eg, built-in pension.

Its normal to give less to less experienced. Existing laws and instruments do that and noone cares.
