#Lightyear, the Dutch company that has been struggling to get a solar powered electric car into production for the past six years, asked a Dutch court for permission to stop making payments to Atlas Technologies BV. The request was approved by the court, which declared Atlas Technologies bankrupt and appointed Mr. R. van Oeijen from Holla legal & tax as trustee.

@SeeEvanR also for latest units? I was seriously considering buying a Model 3 before #Musk fully uncovered his cynical nature tarnishing the #Tesla brand. I like a lot the purity of the concept and it’s design, avoiding the usual fake air intakes and grill that others stick to. #LightYear is my ideal car but too expensive.

Watched #Lightyear. Was a-ok. ⭐️⭐️⭐️½

Liked the classic #scifi vibe but the story was yet another #Pixar-y "weak guys grow and they learn to be a team" thing. (Combined with "our hero learns a lesson in life".) But great visuals and awesome robots!

Also, couldn't help wondering how those characters had succeeded to travel around galaxy via hyperspace jumps for _years_ but suddenly only _now_ they stumbled to time dilation problems. Like, how was it supposed to work in the first place? With magic?

Bet it blew Andy’s mind to watch a movie with higher poly count and that looked more realistic than his actual real life.

Anyway, for a movie that I thought would be an absolute pile of direct-to-video shameless-moneygrubbing Disney crap, #Lightyear was actually very enjoyable and a lot of fun!

I am a #screenwriter by trade but my happy place is in the kitchen. I’ve been working in the #movie business for over twenty years and I have a shoebox stuffed with weird Hollywood stories I sometimes tell people. I was truly blessed to get to work at #Pixar where I wrote #Coco and later worked on the early phases of #Lightyear. I hope to use this space to connect with other writers of all stripes and plug the occasional thing. Expect many photos of #pastries.
