Damn, I replaced a lot of my apps by #FOSS alternatives and my old #galaxyS9 got a second life. #lineageos on him is fast like lightning and my very low condition battery is a very better than on stock (and debloated) #oneui. Only missing features are #volte and #vowifi

Jako, że w ręce wpadł mi taki oto Galaxy S7, postanowiłem to wykorzystać i zainstalować nowy system.

Od pewnego czasu myślę, czy nie zrootować, a następnie zainstalować nowego systemu na mój obecny telefon, gdy ten będzie już ledwo zipał. Czy to ze względu na ekologię? Raczej nie, bardziej chodzi o oszczędność oraz fakt, że technologia jest na tyle rozwinięta, że nasze urządzenia powinny działać dłużej, a są za to chamsko spowalniane aktualizacjami od producentów, byśmy kupowali co 2 lata ich nowe produkty, które nie różnią się niczym od starszych, oprócz nic nie wnoszących funkcji. Moim zdaniem, premiera Iphone X idealnie pokazała zastój w rozwoju telefonów jaki nastąpił, skoro obok skanera twarzy drugą rewolucyjną funkcją były emotki ów skaner wykorzystujące, niepotrzebne, a tyle szumu wokół.

A z racji, że ten tu jegomość mi się nawinął, postanowiłem się nim pobawić. Po kilku godzinach czytania forów i szukania odpowiedniego oprogramowania w końcu jest!

Przed państwem Samsung Galaxy S7 z od-Google'owanym Lineage OS w wersji 19. Serwisów Google tutaj nie ma, ale na wszelki wypadek jest MicroG. Widoczne na załączonym zdjęciu aplikacje zostały pobrane z F-Droid, poza Signal'em pobranym z oficjalnej strony.

Czy warto było się w to bawić? A jak najbardziej!

"Funny" : I was given a "broken" Xperia L3 smartphone, which in fact only had a scratch on the back and was perfectly functional.

Step-Mum was complaining about the BQ Aquaris X5 I'd given her (8 years old anyway) with #LineageOS (without G. Apps), so I offered to swap it with a bit of cleaning and customisation (fortunately Sony doesn't put too much junk on #Android).

She's just sent me a message saying that she's happy BUT that she still prefers the simplicity of the BQ 😅

It's maintained by Erfan Abdi and other talented developers, not some random people.
