You may remember that last March, I launched a survey that aimed to explore the socio-technical characteristics of the @IIIF@glammr.us and #LinkedArt communities.

For instance, It sought to situate these initiatives within a broader discourse of scholarly movements and principles (#OpenScience, #CitizenScience, #FAIR, #CARE). Additionally, it serves as a preliminary means of exploring the prospective impact of Linked Open Usable Data (LOUD) and its underlying design principles in the cultural heritage field.

I have provided some insights to the people involved in those communities in Chapter 5 (pp. 25-27).

It's indeed a snapshot but I hope it's relevant for anyone interested in community practices in the cultural heritage field. I would also like to thank all of the 79 individuals who participated! :)

My (now not too) secret agenda at #DH2023 is to find people with whom I can talk about data modelling, #LOD (or rather #LOUD - #LinkedArt #IIIF), cats (I can provide pictures), community practices and diversity in #digitalhumanities while drinking beers or eating ice creams.

This Wednesday evening at #DH2023 I am going to be standing next to our poster titled "Enabling Participatory Data Perspectives for Image Archives through a Linked Art Workflow".

The basis of this poster is a collaboration with the @uniofoxford and more specifically with Tanya Gray, Alwyn Collinson, & Kevin R. Page who helped me creating a workflow to generate JSON-LD #LinkedArt resources.

The goal is to expose those resources later as a RESTful API as a means of conveying semantically enriched events and as a benchmark against other collections leveraging this model alongside our existing #IIIF APIs and our basic metadata API within the PIA research project. #loud #LinkedData

Better late than never. Rob Sanderson, Senior Director for Digital Cultural Heritage at Yale University. Ex-pat from Aotearoa New Zealand, via England, New Mexico and California.

Partly to blame for #IIIF, #LOUD, #LinkedArt, #WebAnnotation, #Memento, #JSONLD, #LDP and other standards/products, esp at the intersection of CH and LOD.

Current main work project is a cross-museum/archive/library discovery platform built on LOD at Yale called LUX.
