The UK's oldest and most important trees are vulnerable. Most have no real legal protection in the UK.
Join the Woodland Trust's campaign and tell the government to protect our most important trees! campaigns.woodlandtrust.org.uk 🌳

3/3 @bluekoala065 I can’t enter being employed by @CoedCadw I need to get someone else to :) & I really should take a high res portrait photo of it, in it’s best light, I’d regret not doing it, to not catch it in its prime of life.

2/3 @bluekoala065 I thought it looked pagan-ish , or gothic, old hunting grounds 16th century ish. Antler shapes, with reaching arms. I love that it’s shaped the Summergill brooke, & possibly vice versa. Ash has the biggest biomass of roots, very deep rooted….It really ought to be in the .

I called it the 7.32m girth, Approx 600 yrs old around in 1400’s Henry IV & the Rebellion in under Owain Glyndwr.

A single 400-year-old ancient oak tree produces 234,000 litres of oxygen a year, & may support more than 2,000 species of bird, insect, fungus, & lichen.

Rich & rare , they are irreplaceable - woodlandtrust.org.uk/protectin
