The UK's oldest and most important trees are vulnerable. Most #AncientTrees have no real legal protection in the UK.

3/3 @bluekoala065 I can’t enter being employed by @CoedCadw I need to get someone else to :) & I really should take a high res portrait photo of it, in it’s best light, I’d regret not doing it, to not catch it in its prime of life.

2/3 @bluekoala065 I thought it looked pagan-ish , or gothic, old hunting grounds 16th century ish. Antler shapes, with reaching arms. I called it the #DuhonwOak 7.32m girth, Approx 600 yrs old around in 1400’s Henry IV & the Rebellion in #Wales under Owain Glyndwr.
A single 400-year-old ancient oak tree produces 234,000 litres of oxygen a year, & may support more than 2,000 species of bird, insect, fungus, & lichen.
Rich & rare #AncientTrees, they are irreplaceable #LivingLegends - https://www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/protecting-trees-and-woods/campaign-with-us/tree-protection-campaign/
