@Rog it's legal to gate from LoRa to APRS-IS but it's not in the spirit to gate packets from unlicensed operators to RF on ham frequencies*. There are some ways to (in good faith) reduce the likelihood of that happening.

However, you could run a whole #LoRaAPRS network and never touch the ham frequencies, if you don't want to. For example to use existing APRS apps.

*not a lawyer, but consider 3rd-party traffic like SMSGTE. Who is the operator?

@sm0onr on the same hardware, you can check out #LoRaAPRS and integrate into the rest of #APRS as long as you don't want encrypted messaging.

I got two T-BEAM 868, which I originally bought for Meshtastic.

Now I re-flased them with Peter OE5BPA software.

It works like a charm. Find my -10 (iGate) and -5 (tracker) on aprs.fi

I guess I have to buy some T-BEAMs for 70 cm now. :)

@kb1gim can you recommend any article that explains basics of #LoRaAPRS ? Are those just regular #APRS frames that use #LoRa as a kind of a transport layer, and digipeaters etc. use the same logic when digipeating?
